Ivana Mitic MSN, CRNA, Founder
Ivana Mitic, MSN, CRNA, received a master of science in anesthesiology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2012. Prior to becoming a CRNA, Ivana obtained a bachelor of science in nursing from South Dakota State University in 2006. Ivana has been board certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists since 2013 and American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists, and Practitioners.
While practicing nursing, Ivana cared for patients in all stages of life. Ivana’s main specialties were recovery room, emergency, and intensive care nursing. Since becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, Ivana has anesthetized thousands of patients from our Baltimore community. Ivana is passionate about providing pain relief to pain sufferers, and she is very grateful to be the first provider to bring this new technology to our region! Ivana has been changing lives by providing Ketamine infusion therapy for depression and chronic pain at Baltimore Ketamine Clinic since 2018. Bringing Calmare Therapy to Baltimore is a way to provide more options for patients suffering from pain. When she is not taking care of patients, Ivana enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, biking, gardening, and taking beach vacations.
Dr. Margaret M. Rajnic DNP, FNP-C, RN, Medical Director
Dr. Margaret Rajnic is a board-certified Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). She obtained a doctorate degree from Case Western Reserve University in 2015. Dr. Rajnic earned a master of science in nursing in 1998 and bachelor of science in nursing in 1990, both from Thomas Jefferson University. For over 20 years, Dr. Rajnic has served in both private and public sectors of healthcare leadership. As a leader, she created and implemented multiple acute and outpatient care management programs for a number of hospital and ambulatory centers. In addition, Dr. Rajnic has 15 years of experience in behavioral health, and extensive experience providing healthcare for acute, emergency, and trauma services.
Dr. Rajnic’s current practice encompasses a wellness continuum by providing alternatives to pain management, including Ketamine infusion therapy. Her approach with every patient is holistic and supportive. Dr. Rajnic is a proud member of the American Association of Critical Care, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Patient Advocate Council, the Trauma Society, and the State Nurses’ Association. In her free time, Dr. Rajnic enjoys time with her family and friends, hiking, rowing, and cooking.
Annie Shippen, RN
Annie Shippen is a master prepared registered nurse. Annie received her master of science with a degree in nursing from University of Maryland School of Nursing in 2010. Annie also holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from College of Notre Dame of Baltimore. For many years, Annie provided care to the most vulnerable patients in the neuro-trauma intensive care unit (ICU).
In recent years, Annie transitioned to an outpatient orthopedic center, where she is responsible for preparing patients for surgical procedures and ensuring their safe wake-up from anesthesia in the post anesthesia recovery unit (PACU). Annie has been a part of the management team as a nurse in charge. Annie feels passionate about relieving pain and suffering and has become a part of the Baltimore Ketamine Clinic/Calmare Maryland family over the past year. Annie is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and American Holistic Nurses Association. Annie enjoys hiking, biking, cooking, reading, and running.
